The heavy rains on the night of 4/15 & 16 have flooded Gilmore Ponds and the fields north of the RR tracks. Water conditions look great, in fact it will probably be better when it recedes a little. You would have had to wade for about 40 feet to get to the steps of the West Pond observation deck. We didn't see much in our short visit ( many Blue-winged Teal, Am. Coots and a few Co. Snipe ) but the potential for the next few weeks looks great.
