Date: Saturday, May 20, 2017

Reporter: Jay Lehman

Other Observers:

Bell’s Vireo at Ellis Lake Wetland on 05/20/17, at the 8th pole along the paved bike path west of the circle, this Bell’s Vireo was singing repetitively at 7:00 pm. The bank along the south side of the bike path had been bush whacked to the 9th pole, but the Bell’s Vireo was still present. Because the bank had been cleared of the honey suckle bushes, I walked up to the top, and observed the vireo in the bushes on the south side of the water channel at the top of the bank. Great bird and fun to see! Access to this site from Firebird Lane from the north side of Union Center Boulevard west of I75 north of I275. Bell’s vireo had been first reported at this site on Cincinnati Birders by Mike Busam on May 14, 2017, seen with Bob Lacker.
