Our February meeting will be the always popular members’s photo night, but for this year we’ve added a “Show-&-Tell” segment. You might be thinking, “I know that I can bring my bird and nature-related photos to the meeting on a handy flash drive, but what do they mean by ‘show-and-tell’? Is this like ‘Romper Room’ or something?” To answer that question, yes, it is a bit like show-and-tell back when we were wee tikes, watching Miss Nancy work the t.v. land crowd on Romper Room. For those who might not have bird photos handy, as well as for those who have photos, maybe you picked up something really cool in your birding travels or adventures this past year. Maybe you painted or wrote something bird or nature-related. Maybe you baked bird-shaped cookies (and plan to again for our meeting, hint, hint). Maybe you bought a really cool hand-made hat in Mexico or Peru… or South Africa. (Bird Club members tend to wander rather widely.) Maybe you found an excellent field guide not written in English. So in addition to photos, which are always welcome, feel free to bring along something you’d like to talk about and show-&-tell to the rest of us. We’ll see you on February 20th!
