May Oxbow Program

Dr. Mark Fischer has addressed us before on the topics of solar eclipses and geocaching, so we know this will be an entertaining, informative presentation. One wonders, how is it that the sky appears blue on a clear day, and how can we explain the intense blue of glacial ice? Then there’s the bluebird and blue jay – people tell us that they are not really blue due to pigmentation, so what explains these “every day” blue phenomena? Dr. Fischer, Professor of Physics at Mount St. Joseph University will regale us with explanations – it’s all Physics!
