In this talk\, we will explore the intricate relationship between butterflies and their native habitats\, examining how shifts in the landscape and ecology have left these delicate creatures increasingly vulnerable. Through captivating imagery of habitats and host plants—featuring rare and endangered species found in the Eastern USA—we will dive into the main threats driving their decline\, including- but not limited to- habitat loss\, climate change\, and pesticide use. Drawing on concrete examples\, we will shed light on how these environmental changes are impacting butterfly populations.
