DESCRIPTION:Title: The Evolution of Avian Biodiversity and Molecular Phylogenetics \nSpeaker: Dr. Tyler Imfeld \nDate and Time: Wednesday\, September 16th\, 7:00P.M. \nLocation: Sharon Centre in Sharon Woods\, 11450 Lebanon Road\, Sharonville\, OH 45241 and Zoom (see link below) \nOrganizer: Ryan Jorgensen at jorgensen28ryan@gmail.com \n Dr. Tyler Imfeld\, assistant professor of biology at Xavier University\, is a museum-trained ornithologist whose research uses natural history specimens to study the evolution of avian biodiversity. His lab uses DNA extracted from specimens to explore the evolutionary family history of bird lineages and uses this information to study the evolution of anatomy and behavior.
