DESCRIPTION:March Audubon Program – Avian Conservation with ODNR \nMarch 29\, 2021\, 7:00 pm \nSpeaker:  Laura Kearns (ODNR) \nProgram Title: Ohio Division of Wildlife Avian Diversity Programs and Update on Ohio’s Bald Eagles and Peregrine Falcons \nLaura Kearns will give an overview of current programs dealing with avian species of greatest conservation need in the Division of Wildlife.  In addition\, she will give the latest update on recovered Bald Eagle and Peregrine Falcon populations in the state. \nBio: Dr. Laura Kearns has been a wildlife biologist with the Olentangy Research Station at the Ohio Division of Wildlife for 6 ½ years.  She oversees monitoring\, research\, and management of forest and wetland birds of greatest conservation need.  Specific species or groups of species she works with include common terns\, secretive marsh birds (bitterns\, rails)\, colonial waterbirds\, trumpeter swans\, and sandhill cranes.  She also deals with monitoring and issues related to bald eagles and peregrine falcons.  She serves on the Appalachian Mountain Joint Venture Technical Committee\, Mississippi Flyway Council Nongame Bird Technical Section\, and the Ohio Bird Conservation Initiative Steering Committee and Conservation/Research Planning Committee. \nJoin Zoom Meeting \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/88290677630?pwd=NHdtSzFEbjdLb2FGUE9kcFlPQXhoQT09 \nMeeting ID: 882 9067 7630 \nPasscode: 044146
