Our only record is four individuals near the dam on Action Lake, Hueston Woods State Park, Butler County, on April 11, 1974. (Kleen 1974). This record was accepted by Peterjohn (Peterjohn 1989, 2001). Randle reported that one bird lingered through April 16 (Randle 1988).
