Sayornis saya
One was at Hueston Woods State Park on November 28, 1989, establishing Ohio’s first record (Peterjohn 1990, Peterjohn 2001).
One was at Moore’s Hill, Dearborn County, from December 27, 1997 through January 2, 1998. “An identifiable photo was obtained, providing the state’s first confirmed record of this w. species.” (Brock 1998; accepted by IBRC 4570-SAPH-003-DEAR1997)
Our most recent record is one on Hilt Road, northeast of Yellow Springs, Greene County, from November 26 through 29, 2009 (Caldwell 2010, accepted by OBRC Keller 2010).
